Founded in 2009 by Utility Support Systems (USS), EnerSphere leverages USS’ 15+ years of electric utility experience and relationships with over 120 electric membership cooperatives, investor–owned and municipal electric utilities located primarily in the South/Southeastern United States. USS and its affiliates perform joint-use contract negotiations and management services, professional engineering, GIS and digital mapping, plus construction management and smart grid/advanced metering infrastructure deployment services. In addition, USS designs and constructs fiber optic networks for electric utilities and broadband communication service providers.

By partnering with Electric Membership Cooperatives (EMC’s) and combining energy management with broadband communications, EnerSphere can scale and cost effectively deliver residential and commercial solutions that attract ecommerce, telemedicine and high-technology businesses, creating jobs and stimulating local economies.
